IDK, it's pretty funny to watch. I like schadenfreude. It's only funny because the agreed to it, though. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to laugh at it.

Does pepper spray actually do something to your eyes, like can damage them permanently or it's "just" pain?

If you do it on a regular basis, then yes. But one time won't kill them.

On reddit where I found the video many people talked about their experience with pepper spray in the army (likely stronger than what the cop uses in the video, and the cops have stronger pepper spray than your BF has in his handbag most likely).

It's bearable as long as it does not get into your eyes. The skin burns (somebody compared it to a tabasco massage on a sunburn or something) and breathing becomes an inconvenience. Once it gets into your eyes the fun starts, though. The kids in the video had their eyes closed so it wasnt even remotely as bad. People reported that they legit couldnt keep their eyes open anymore without using their fingers. Guess that gives you a good idea of what it does to you. Also, one guy said that when he took a shower after the training and washed the spray off and got some on his dick. Said it wasnt fun.

Tear gas is also fun stuff. I think the stuff we got to test was like 5% or some shit and the one police uses is like 30-50%. It's suprisingly effective tho, rip eyes and breathing.
