yeah and that's a mig-21 I think, I doubt it's russian since that's ancient even for their standards. Those things were state of the art in the Korean war lol. (and it's not that it's got any super redeeming features like an A-10 warthog, god I'd like to see a video of "Abu failjaar takes on an A-10" and of course youtube delivers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b_izdXSIWEg)

Vietnam war. In the Korean war state of the art were MiG-15s. And I think there are still a few of those in use.

I think we have some in use (romania), but they fall more often than the immigrants blow themselves up.

Yep we still use them in Romania with upgraded avionics. The romanian government payed a fortune to modernize them. That's basically our only fighter.
Their next great plan to update the romanian air fleet was to buy second-hand F16s (relatively modern I might add .. it's from the 70s). Donno what happened to that plan though.

F-16 are still quite serviceable and up-to-date. It beats buying lots of expensive f-22 or f-35
