Well hes somewhat right. The English today is a nice dumbed down version.
In some ways its less complicated while still everyone can express themselves.
From what I know it used to be way more complicated before Imperialism happened, so fuck them.

Then again, English hasn't seen a reform in.... well actually, they have never fucking had one. Instead of declension and conjugation you have to deal with extremely inconsistent spelling and pronunciation, depending on the origin of the word (german, french, greek, latin, etc.). It isn't really any less of a pain in the ass if you ask me
